SUMMARY:
Durban. Established company in the Steel industry seeks driven External Sales Representative with previous experience in reselling of mild steel and tube and solid knowledge of the steel and tube retail industry.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities will include servicing new and existing customers, reaching and exceeding sales targets, generating quotes for customers, increasing market share, offering technical advice to customers, following up on outstanding orders, weekly / monthly / quarterly and annual sales report.

Requirements:

At least 1 year or more recent sales experience – reselling of mild steel and tube is essential
MerSETA, (boilermaker) graduate
Valid driver’s license (a company vehicle will be provided)
Knowledge of the steel and tube retail industry
Must have excellent communication skills
Good emotional intelligence
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Strong trading and negotiating skills
Ability to close a deal
Must be willing to travel
