JOB SUMMARY:
Our corporate client, with head office based in Tygervalley, would like to appoint the services of an accountant.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will be overseeing a team of Creditors and cashbook clerks. The ideal person will have a finance degree + completed articles from a smaller concern. The client would like someone who did not only do auditing but the full financial accounting function.

Your duties will include:

Preparation and submission of monthly management accounts and financial reports
Reconciling intercompany loan accounts
Calculation of Taxes and other statutory contributions; VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, EMP201, EMP501
Annual Financial Audit and liaising with auditors
Compling of annual Budgets
Sub ledger management; review and reconcile transactions
Provide guidance and assistance to accountants department
General Finance Tasks.

Requirements:

Completed B.Comm degree with SAIPA or SAICA articles
A minimum of three years post articles experience in a similar position
Experience in the retail sector will serve as a recommendation.
Good IFRS skills and knowledge
Computer proficiency must include knowledge of accounting software package such as ACCPAC and MS Office products (particularly MS Excel)
Sound knowledge of SARS E-Filing
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Ability to work accurately and deal with high volumes of work
