SUMMARY:
New role is available for a Field Service Technician for our client in the Engineering Industry, based in Midrand JHB.

POSITION INFO:
We’re looking for a skilled and self-motivated Field Service Technician. In this role, you’ll provide technical support to clients, perform repairs, and commission equipment. You will also play a key part in ensuring compliance, maintaining records, and supporting both internal teams and customers on-site and remotely.

Contract to permanent

Key Responsibilities:

Provide written reports to clients on repairs, service work, and returns
Prepare, submit, and maintain accurate records of warranty claims
Deliver technical support via phone and on-site visits to customers
Offer technical support to the internal sales team
Ensure compliance with ISO standards and documentation
Commission new equipment at customer sites
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment in specific customer applications
Respond to equipment breakdowns and service calls
Willingness to travel, including after-hours and cross-border assignments
Assist in spare parts stock control and warehouse operations
Support the preparation of customer quotations when required
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

Requirements:

Qualified Electrician or Technician with N3 or a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
At least 3 years of experience in Control Systems
Hands-on experience with Control Systems, Electronics, and/or Pneumatics
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong communication skills—both written and interpersonal
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
