POSITION INFO:

Unique opportunity for a well experienced CA(SA) to join an established (and growing) Renewable Energy team as their Finance Manager.

This is a senior role! The most senior Financial role within the business, responsible for the full finance function, and working very closely with the GM on a daily basis. As such the role has both a strategic and operational blend, and requires someone commercially savvy.

The opportunity is Cape Town based.

The focus of the role, broadly, is the following:

Manage the overall finance function for the team and its subsidiaries.
Strategic guidance to shareholders and the GM.
Review and monitor annual budgets & forecasts.
Produce financial and corporate reports
Monitor funding strategies
Manage the treasury.
Manage the closing, drawdown and waiver requests in accordance with the financial documentation for each of the subsidiary companies.
Leadership of a finance team (small team currently, growth anticipated)
Involvement in ERP implementation

This role is suited to :

CA(SA) with 15 years in finance. At least 5 of these years in a senior / leadership financial role managing people.
It is essential that potential applicants have led Finance teams of 10+ staff, ideally more.
Exceptional EQ, people management skills, and a good communicator.
Comfort working within a flat structure and collaborative culture that requires a strong leader. Comfortable working within an environment where people are encouraged to be inquisitive / ask questions.
