Financial Accountant | Financial Manager

Requirements:

• Completed BCom Accounting / Financial Degree
• 15+ Years'' experiene in Accounting role
• Knowledge of customs regulations / tax calculations
• Experience in dealing with USA / international companies
• Must be willing and able to work through financial year-end in December

This position is to take over Financial Manager position in 3 years or more.

Person must be dedicated and consider this position as their final working environment until retirement.

Computer packages are in-house, further all office 365 packages required to do the job.

Knowledge base

• Preparation of financial information following US-GAAP and International Accounting Standards guidelines.
• Adherence to group international policy procedures and local law policy procedures.
• Adherence of local internal control based on group policy and local policy.
• Company secretarial duties.
• Taxation normal local and international, customs, salary taxes and value added taxes.
• Labour law requirement and all local legislation.
• Handling of different review and audit taxation matters.
• Contractual agreement, knowledge of wording that all policies are in alignment with local and international group before being approved.
• Support of external auditors.

Important information.

• Deadline in place is not allowed to be extended, so assurance that procedures are in place to complete all requirement on time.
• To ensure all third-party work to be completed on time and assure that they have every opportunity to complete work timeously.
• Extreme deadlines each quarter of the year, reporting by the 6th and audit by the 11th.
• Year end is December which requires working over this period with the same deadlines as above.
• This is important as leave will not be allowed at these times when we are required to work.

• Understanding of computers, their security and protection of the information.
• Human resources information, guidelines, and group policies.
• Costing of stock receipts and warehouse control.
• Credit control, accounts receivable and other debtors.
• Debt collection procedures.
• Accounts payable, other payables and payment control.
• Banking knowledge.
• Cashflow maintenance.
• International inter-company procedures, balancing, payment, and control.
• Import and export rules and regulations.
• Finalisation of all reporting requirements USGAAP, Statutory statements and taxation.
• High risk wording or sentences in agreements of suppliers and sales.
• Communication skills customer and staff base.
• Ad-hoc duties required from time to time.
