A Senior Accountant is wanted within the Telecoms industry!

POSITION INFO:
Are you a number-savvy professional ready to take your accounting career to the next level? Our client, a respected player in the telecommunications industry, is on the lookout for a sharp, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team, based in the southern suburbs of Cape Town.

As the Senior Accountant, you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance, preparing high-level reports, and playing a key role in budgeting and audits. You’ll collaborate closely with department heads and report to the Financial Manager.

Duties:

Oversee the full accounting function, from general ledger to trial balance.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial data.
Manage reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
Coordinate with Auditors during annual audits and prepare supporting documentation.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:
- Completed BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- SAIPA or SAICA articles
Experience:
- 5+ years' experience in a full accounting function role
- Proficiency in CaseWare is a plus
