JOB SUMMARY:
Are you an immediately available Financial Accountant? Our client, a fast-growing multinational company is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team for a period of 12 months.

The ideal candidate will have High technical accounting knowledge, knowledge in budgets, financial analysis, control of statistical and historical data and projections. Handling of US GAAP, IFRS, SOX and NIFs.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

Skills/Experience required:

Minimum of 5 years of Accounting experience preferred.
High technical accounting knowledge, knowledge in budgets, financial analysis, control of statistical and historical data and projections. Handling of US GAAP, IFRS, SOX and NIFs.
Refresher courses in financial matters at least in the last 3 years

Job Description:

Assist with the montly closing process in the different African markets
Assist in the preparation and reporting of financial statements, in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as well as in compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Ensure compliance with general internal controls, including those derived from the SOX Law (Sarbanes Oxley Act), as well as the established procedures, rules and policies by the company
Ensure the monthly preparation of financial reports as well as joint account cleaning, with the Accounting departments of the different markets in Africa.
Assist with the administration of Master Data in Oracle in terms landlords, banks, customers, employees, suppliers, approval routes and fixed asset projects.
Advise different local areas, Corporate and Africa Markets to resolve specific doubts regarding the various accounting and process issues
Prepare reconciliations of Fixed Assets and Projects vs. Accounting modules
Partner with Business Process Management to identify and implement process improvements
