Financial Accountant (12-month contract)

SUMMARY:
A multinational Manufacturing company is looking to employ a Financial Accountant to join their team for a fixed term of 12 months. This is the ideal opportunity for an Accountant who is immediately available.

POSITION INFO:
Education:

• BCom Accounting or Similar Degree

• SAP experience
• Advanced Excel
• Caseware experience – advantageous

• Ensure cashbooks are processed accurately, efficiently and completely for all accounting transactions ensuring correct supporting documentation and filing thereof.
• Ensure all related functions such as payments, transfers are processed accurately, efficiently and completely.
• Provide administrative capabilities to the company’s finance function including business processes and compliance related tasks.
• Ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts.
• Calculation of monthly VAT payable/receivable.
• Submission of EMP201 and VAT201 returns and loading for payment.
• Take responsibility for tax related matters (Corporate taxes, VAT, employee taxes) monthly and as required by the project controller.
• Ensure proper filing of transactions for audit purposes (External auditors, SARS, EXCON etc.).
• Management of relevant finance projects
• Fixed asset management
• Month end cashbook reporting to Group
• Bi-monthly cash forecasting
• Weekly cash reporting to Financial Manager
• Management of corporate card programme
• Cashbook accounting for Nigeria
