POSITION INFO:
Our client, a leader in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly skilled professional to manage full financial accounting functions with a strong emphasis on cashbooks, general ledger integrity, fixed assets, and reporting.

This role is based in Germiston, Johannesburg East.

Key Responsibilities:
Cashbook, General Ledger & Reporting:

• Daily/monthly reconciliations of cashbooks and general ledger
• Journal processing and analysis
• Prepare expense reports and intercompany journals
• Consolidate financial reporting packs and support budget preparations

• Reconcile foreign creditor accounts
• Process BOP forms and manage fleet and credit card reconciliations

• Support internal and external audits
• Ensure clean audit outcomes and compliance

• Manage petty cash payments and recons
• Process charge card transactions on SYSPRO

• Maintain a 100% accurate asset register
• Perform monthly depreciation, reconciliations, and capital WIP tracking

• Check and report variances in wage hours

• Liaise with banks and process inter-branch transfers
• Perform daily cashbook reconciliations

• Prepare and submit VAT returns on eFiling
• Assist with provisional tax calculations and SARS audits

• Compile and submit budgets
• Produce management reports and year-end packs

• Finalise GL entries
• Assist with audit-related requests and ensure deadline compliance

• BCom degree in Finance/Accounting
• 5 years experience in a similar Financial Accountant role
• Strong working knowledge of SYSPRO (essential)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
