Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
Shared Services Head Office based in Springs (East Rand), has a new opportunity for a Financial Accountant.  Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and reports.  Perform duties to ensure compliance with Financial Administration, GAAP, Legislative Compliance, and Company policies and procedures. Successful incumbent must reside on the East Rand / Surrounds or be willing to relocate to Springs.

POSITION INFO:
A completed B.Com (Accounting) / similar is essential, with a minimum of 5+ years working experience as an Accountant. Experience on JDE essential. KPI's include: monthly reconciliation and administration of B/S accounts for the Shared Services Division; reconciliation of AP and AR accounts; rebilling of costs across legal entities; manage expenses in line with budgets; assist management in guiding, training and supervising the finance team; prepare the annual budget and periodic forecasts; record transactions in ledgers and journals; review of management accounts and report on variances; review B/S recons and resolve queries; reporting to various stakeholders; liaise with auditors; financial reporting and analysis; pro-actively identify potential risks; understand and manage systems, processes and controls, prepare forward cover requirements; check and release EFT payments according to internal control processes; oversee and manage cashflow forecasts; prepare accrual and adjustment journals and perform adhoc duties as and when required. Working experience on JDE essential. Exposure to Hyperion advantageous.
