Financial Accountant - Franschhoek

SUMMARY:
Our client in Franschhoek is looking for a Financial Accountant.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting
2 Years experience in a Accountant role
Computer literate (MS Excel, Sage Pastel)
Stock Control / Systems experience

Responsibilities:

DAILY/WEEKLY
Debtors
Processing of daily invoicing
Processing of credit notes
Daily follow up on outstanding accounts (COD and accounts)
Submitting weekly Stucky downloads to the bank for our invoice factoring
Weekly emails to top customers following weeks estimate order and top up payments
Filing of customer sales order and invoices
Daily sales reports to Directors
Attending to customer queries Account and non-account related queries (Daily)

Creditors
Daily capturing of supplier invoices
Purchasing foreign exchange contracts
Submission of weekly BOP to Nedbank
Processing daily/weekly supplier payments
Cashbook
Daily processing of cashbooks
Processing daily and weekly payments to suppliers
Reconciling cashbooks
Managing Petty cash
Managing weekly cashflow budget
Fixed assets
Maintaining fixed asset register monthly.
Raising monthly depreciation
Journalising sale of fixed assets.
Inventory
Processing daily supplier stock invoices
Stock journals across departments

MONTH END DUTIES
DEBTORS
Monthly reconciling of customer accounts
Sending customer statements

CREDITORS
Monthly reconciling of supplier statements
Monthly payments to suppliers
Other
Month end Journals (Stock included)
VAT return (VAT201) submission and reconciliations to the SARS
Preparing management pack for Directors
BEE reports for BEE audit.
Monthly submission of documents for Nedbank audit

OTHER
Completing supplier credit application
Vetting/approving/scanning/filing customer credit application forms
Prepare sale reports for sales department when needed.
Managing the Debtor Insurance portal
Preparing Monthly BEE audit reports for Peoples Partners and yearly BEE audit
Managing all debtor legal handovers and follow ups
Managing all Bank related queries
Any other tasks given by the Directors

YEAR END DUTIES:
Preparing all supporting documentation for yearly audit up to financial statement including.
