SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced Geologist to join a mining operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and reporting geological features within the pit to support efficient and safe mining processes.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

BSc Honours / BTech / Advanced Diploma in Geology
At least 3 years’ relevant geological experience in mining
Knowledge of coal exploration for opencast operations
Experience in in-pit and stockyard grade control
Proficient in MS Office suite
Strong analytical abilities
Valid driver’s license
Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance

Beneficial:

Professional registration with SACNASP and/or GSSA membership
Experience in opencast and/or underground mining production
Familiarity with geological databases and Minex modelling software
