POSITION INFO:
Our client is a well-established manufacturer of both perishable and shelf-stable private-label foods. They supply major national retailers daily through central distribution centres. The business employs between 50 and 100 staff and maintains high compliance and quality standards. With a strong focus on excellence and innovation, they seek a leader to drive operational success and strategic growth.

You’ll oversee daily operations, manage a cross-functional team, and ensure optimal production, quality, and safety. This role includes driving cost efficiency, leading strategic planning, managing budgets, and aligning business processes with company goals. You’ll also spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, mentor staff, ensure compliance, and collaborate across departments to support company growth and maintain top-tier client service.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Proven experience as a General Manager or Operations Manager within the food manufacturing/FMCG industry
Strong background in manufacturing operations, budgeting, quality control, and continuous improvement
Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
Relevant tertiary qualification (BSc/BCom in Business, Operations Management or similar)
Solid understanding of retailer supply chain requirements
