JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a Global trading, logistics and distribution company is looking for an HR Manager to be involved in employee orientations, benefits administration, compensation, rewards, and conflict resolution, and well as develop and refine systems. You are an individual who connects easily with people and has a detail-oriented mindset for handling the dynamic nature of today’s workforce.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in the Human Resources Management
  • Min 10 years’ experience at senior level
  • Experience with Human Resources metrics/reporting
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Ability to architect strategy.
  • Leadership skills.
Key Performance Areas:
Human Resources:
  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Ensure compliance with national and local HR regulations by conducting investigations and maintaining records
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Rewards Management
  • B-BBEE Management:-
    • Tracking of BEE Trends and ensuring company remains abreast of any changes and regulation requirements
    • Monitoring BEE Scorecards and liaising with relevant consultants to keep track of requirements for improvement
    • Assisting with the Economic and Social Development initiatives and delegating duties to relevant HR employee to assist with Administration purposes
    • Co-ordinating and tracking BEE requirements for year-end audit and ensuring all information is up to date
  • Employment Equity Management
  • Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
  • Handle confidential matters with discretion
  • Implement and uphold Code of Conduct
Performance Management:
  • Plan, monitor, and appraise HR activities by scheduling management conferences, resolving employee grievances, training managers in how to coach and discipline, and counselling employees and supervisors
  • Nurture a positive working environment, employee motivation and satisfaction
  • Manage employee participation and communication
People Development:
  • Managing the recruitment and selection process and prepare employees for their assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs
  • Succession planning
  • Champion the onboarding process by ensuring that it's high-quality and up to date, and provide clarity and connection for employees so their roles serve the overall business vision
  • Training & Development: assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs/reporting (WSP/ATR)
  • Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expense reimbursement, and vacation
HR Communication:
  • Provide timely and periodic communication on HR related matters to the Managing Director and Assist with any required tasks and duties to report to Executive Committee and HQ
  • HR initiatives that stimulate our values, culture, and team-spirit
  • Build strong relationships with external suppliers, fostering trust and promoting collaboration
Reporting:
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human-resources policies and procedures
  • Identify and recommend improvements to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale building
Accountable for following up within the HR Team on:
  • Payroll and Benefits
  • Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding
  • Training and Development
  • Drive HR Projects and Marketing
  • Management of the Receptionist
  • Travel Arrangements
  • Purchasing of Office Supplies and/or Stationery
Skills and Competencies:
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse information quickly with good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communicator to all levels of management
  • Results driven
  • Experience with Human Resources metrics/reporting
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
