SUMMARY:
We are looking for an HVAC & Insulation Technician for a company that is based in Jacobs(KZN- DBN)

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in HVAC installation or industrial insulation
Proven experience with chilled/hot water systems and duct installation
Ability to read technical drawings and work independently
Physically fit and able to work at heights and in confined spaces
Driver’s license and own transport (advantageous)
Trade test or qualification in HVAC, Sheet Metal Work, or Mechanical Fitting (advantageous)

Skills & Competencies:

Technical proficiency in duct fabrication and insulation techniques
Knowledge of thermal insulation materials and standards
Attention to detail and precision
Strong teamwork and communication
Health and safety compliance

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair hot and chilled water piping systems
Fabricate and install HVAC ductwork (galvanized, mild steel, or pre-insulated)
Apply insulation and cladding to pipes and ducts (including polystyrene and foil)
Read and interpret HVAC and mechanical layout drawings
Perform on-site measurements and fit prefabricated duct and insulation components
Install commercial air conditioning systems and ensure ducting complies with SANS or industry standards
Conduct quality checks to ensure insulation meets energy and acoustic specifications
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to meet deadlines.
