SUMMARY:

Head Guide – Luxury Safari Lodge

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the guiding team to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and guest interaction.
• Conduct exceptional game drives and walking safaris with strong interpretive skills and environmental awareness.
• Manage guiding rosters, daily briefings, and training programs.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and reserve regulations.
• Oversee the maintenance and readiness of safari vehicles, equipment, and rifles.
• Handle administrative duties including sightings logs, incident reports, and guest feedback.
• Collaborate with lodge management to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Promote conservation ethics and responsible tourism at every opportunity.

Requirements:

• FGASA Level 2 or higher (Lead Trails Guide preferred)
• Valid PDP, First Aid Level 1, and Rifle Competency
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in a Big 5 reserve, with leadership experience
• Excellent communication, organizational, and people skills
• A deep passion for the bush, conservation, and guest engagement
