JOB SUMMARY:
A well-established multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm offers an exciting career opportunity for a Professional Structural Engineer (ECSA Pr Eng Registered) to Head up the Department in Cape Town .
This fast-growing consulting firm in building services, offers local and international projects in the public and private sectors. The ideal candidate will be looking for a long-term career opportunity to grow with the company.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities

Head up the existing design office and liaise with various project stakeholders
Project Management on site and responsible for management of internal team
Lead Design Centre
Liaise with team members and contractors regarding project progress, forecasts, cost control
Compilation of Feasibility Reports, Technical Reports & Tender Adjudication Reports
Compilation and management of Tender Documentation & Technical Specifications
Performing site inspections and leading site meetings
Overall Contract/project management with good knowledge of different construction Contracts
Direct interaction with Clients and interfacing with multi-disciplinary engineering teams

Desired Experience & Qualification
Key Requirements

Must have B. Eng or BSc. Eng degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) with ECSA
8 – 10 years' post ECSA registration experience in structural and civil engineering
Design experience in building services essential
Valid Driver’s License, own transport and prepared to travel
Must be Cape Town based or prepared to relocate to Cape Town at own cost
Adherence to office hours and availability for overtime as and when required to meet deadlines
Candidates must be medically fit and able to visit and work on construction sites
Sound knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Procon, MS Office Suite and Excel
