Head of Finance - Equity requirement - East Rand (Sales / Stock)

POSITION INFO:

An international company located in East Rand (JHB) with various branches in South Africa is looking a Head of Department. The position will report directly to the CEO, working closely and alongside the EXCO team. The Head of
Department will be responsible and accountable for finance and admin department on a national level . Such will include planning, organising, executing, monitoring and managing
the full spectrum of the finance and admin department. The Head of Finance will be responsible and accountable for the entire finance and admin departments, as well as acting as the crucial between various departments. A Finance role with an operational and strategic flair to it.

Management of accounts
Management debtors’ accounts
Management of creditors’ accounts
Management of customer complaints

Finance Management:
Deal with various external stakeholders including banks, Sars etc.
Manage budgeting and provide financial guidance to the executive team
Develop financial forecasting models
Manage cash flow, liquidity and funding
Recommend strategies to improve results
Deal with various internal and external stakeholders i.e line managers, branch managers, bank managers etc.
Improve internal controls and external operational processes
Work very closely with supply chain department in respect of inventor management
Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and systems for accurate financial reporting and efficient operations
Monitor and report compliance, or non-compliance
Develop, maintain and management and other reports as required from time to time.
Maintain relationships between with key business stakeholders and Directors
Manage the preparation of financial statements and work with auditors
Full management of company assets
Statutory compliance, reporting and tax returns (PAYE, VAT, Income tax etc.)
Develop and prepare financial reports (profit and loss, expenditure, departmental reports and statistics etc.)

Staff management
Manage financial operations and supervise the finance team
Manage staff performance in the finance department
Disciplinary matters
Training, mentoring and coaching

Administration
Ensure proper departmental record keeping
Ensure appropriate management of petty cash
Review, Maintain and update contracts and SLA as and when required
Liaise with external service provider on IT related matters matter

Requirements
A 4 year post matric qualification in Accounting or Finance
Completed SAICA/SAIPA Articles completions advantageous
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance, which 5 years must in a management role (non-negotiable)
5 years in a management position at a stock or sales oriented organisations
Advanced computer literacy (MS office, internet and email)
Intermediate to advanced Proficiency in SAP
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats,
including sales presentations, demonstrated capability to develop strong interpersonal
working relationships and work in a team environment.

Salary - up to R900 000pa CTC
