POSITION INFO:
Hotel Porter
Job Duties:
- Greeting guests upon arrival and assisting with their luggage
- Escorting guests to their rooms and providing information about hotel facilities
- Assisting guests with any queries or requests during their stay
- Ensuring the lobby and entrance areas are kept clean and tidy
- Assisting with valet parking services for guests
- Handling deliveries and packages for hotel guests
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy luggage
Education:
No formal education required, but a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Experience:
Prior experience in a customer service role is advantageous
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of hotel facilities and local area attractions
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills for logging guest information
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a hotel porter or in a similar role
- Certification in hospitality or tourism management
