Incident Desk Officer

SUMMARY:
An Internal Vacancy exists for 2X Incident desk officers in the Critical Infrastructure (Vodacom) Division based in head office - Centurion.
 
The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

POSITION INFO:

• Daily, weekly and monthly reporting
• Maintain and organize security-related documents (access logs, incident reports, compliance records).
• Assist in preparing security policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Coordinate with the Investigations Manager on briefings, meetings, and audits.
• Check CIIMS incident reports daily to ensure: Alignment with reported successful and attempted incidents and no duplicate incident entries exist.
• Capture SAPS case numbers from submitted investigation reports onto the investigations recon sheet.
• Reconcile outstanding case numbers based on region and country for incident officers and investigators and seriousness of the crime for investigator prioritization.
• Provide a list of outstanding cases by investigator to the Investigations Manager for follow-up.
• Maintain records of investigations and support necessary follow-up actions.
• Reconcile vehicle-related items for the investigations department: department vehicles, petrol cards, license disks, weekly inspections, and logbooks.
• Keep records of case numbers, court attendances, outcomes, and arrest progressions and court dockets for the Investigations Department.
• Process and file HR-related documents for the investigations team.
• Track department equipment (phones, laptops, etc.) and liaise with IT to ensure functionality.
• Manage office maintenance needs and escalate to the Investigations Manager.
• Arrange travel bookings (accommodation, flights, bus tickets) for the investigations team.
• Compile and maintain minutes of meetings for the Investigations Manager.
• Compile and distribute security updates and reports to management.
• Assist in any other Investigations and or intelligence based administrative tasks as directed by the Investigations Manager.

• High school diploma or associate degree in security administration, business administration, or a related field (bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Experience in an administrative role, preferably in security or safety.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and security management software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures is a plus.
