JOB SUMMARY:
JOB PURPOSE

The tester will be responsible for:

Conducting automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by the project team is fit for purpose.
Analysing the software product/system to avert risk and prevent software issues. Be responsible for the Quality Assurance phase during the software development life cycle.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITERIA

Minimum of 3 yrs. experience in a Software Tester role.
A degree in Computer Science or in a relevant field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Knowledge of Cypress and/or Selenium is beneficial
Hands-on experience with functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, mobile testing, cross platform testing, component testing, performance testing, UI/UX testing.
TMap, ISEB, ISTQB certification is beneficial.
Up-to-date knowledge of the latest testing developments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY DELIVERABLES

Design and implement all test processes relevant to the project.
âDeliver on all aspects of the Defect Management process using appropriate tracking systems (typically DevOps, JIRA or equivalent).
Be responsible for designing and maintaining test artefacts such as test plans and test scripts (core business workflows, regression tests, database impact, optimal test data, optimal usability and negative testing must be considered)
Report on the quality status to project stakeholders (includes the monitoring and tracking of defect resolution efforts)
Participate in product reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs schedules or potential problems.
Plan test schedules and strategies in accordance with project scope and/or delivery dates.
Review software documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance and completeness which mitigates risks.
Provide feedback to developers about automated testing strategies, design fixes and patches.
Make suggestions that contribute to functional, design, and usability improvements of products.
Sign-off on product/project quality prior to go-live.
