Juion Planner / Procurement Assistant - FMCG

Our client is looking for a Junior Planner to join their team in Killarney Gardens;

REPORTS TO: Stock Manager

TOP PRIORITIES:

• Evaluate stock levels to plan purchase orders monthly
• Prepare purchase orders for approval.
• Organize and confirm delivery of goods and services.
• Oversee Jetam (freight forwarder) operations tracking shipments.

DUTIES

• Assist in sourcing prospective suppliers for new brands/products.
• Review and compare potential new brands with the other products on the market to present findings to management
• Evaluate stock levels to plan purchase orders monthly
• Prepare purchase orders for approval.
• Organize and confirm delivery of goods and services.
• Oversee Jetam operations tracking shipments.
• Keep the incoming shipments calendar up to date.
• Work with the warehouse team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders and report any back-ordered or missing products.
• Maintain records of suppliers in Dear (CRM software) and update it as required.
• Prepare cost estimates and reports
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.
• Promote a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Tertiary education
• 2 – 3 years relevant experience, preferably in FMCG market
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication. German language skills are a bonus
• High level of customer service at all times
• Attention to detail and accuracy with ability to plan, priorities and complete tasks
• Ability to use initiative and develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles
• Resilient, efficient, organized, go-getter
• Strong analytical and critical thinking, uses data to inform decisions
• Competency in all computer packages, i.e. Outlook, Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint, Internet
• Comfort in working with a varied suite of software packages and databases related to product and stock control
• Must have a supportive, team mindset
• A love of cooking and cooking gadgets is essential
