POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join their finance team. If you’re passionate about numbers, love reconciling accounts, and thrive in a structured yet dynamic setting, this could be the opportunity for you!

This role is based in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg North.

Key Responsibilities:

Process receipts, invoices, payments, and handle daily bookkeeping tasks
Reconcile bank accounts, manage ledger entries, and post journal entries
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including collections and credit checks
Assist with month-end close-off and audit preparations
Analyse and interpret financial data to support reporting and compliance
Prepare provision schedules and assist with supplier payments
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls
Maintain an efficient and organised administrative and filing system

Minimum Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar
2+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role
Proficient in accounting software (Xero preferred)
Experience using banking platforms
Strong understanding of bookkeeping and reconciliation principles
Excellent communication and time management skills
Analytical thinker with high attention to detail and integrity
Team player with the ability to meet tight deadlines
