Junior Engineer

SUMMARY:
A natural gas implementation company is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer.

POSITION INFO:
This company specialises in turn-key energy solutions through the sourcing, distribution and supply of small scale Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). The company's vision is to be the leading downstream supplier of LNG in Southern Africa.

The company has an opportunity for a qualified Engineer who is just starting their working career and is interested in developing their skills within the liquid natural gas and hydrogen industry.

This position will be based at the company Head Office in Honeydew, Johannesburg. The individual must have the capability of learning quickly, be very computer literate and take information gathered from the various experienced team members and assemble this information into a project plan, monitoring and coordinating the projects as they develop.

Job Responsibilities – The Project Coordinator:

• All aspects of engineering and project co-ordination
• Development of the supply chain and logistics
• Costing, layout, and design of new customer sites
• Costing, layout, and design of distribution depots
• Customer proposals and tender submission
• Research on technical processes, equipment and LNG industry locally and internationally

• Must have a Mechanical or Industrial BEng Degree.
• Must have completed at least 1- 2 years practical training as an Engineer.
• Must have a reliable car.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project for scheduling, tracking progress, resource allocation, and Gantt chart creation.
• Added benefit to have practical experience working in the natural gas industry or on power generation projects.
• Added benefit of having practical experience in project implementation, including on-site responsibilities.
