SUMMARY:
Seeking a Lab Technician (Micro Testing) - FMCG experience is essential.

POSITION INFO:
The incumbent will be responsible for the execution of the company’s laboratory test methods and standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

Undertaking the microbiological testing in the cream blending micro lab, including process swabs and ad hoc micro analysis.
Ensuring that accurate results are available timeously.
Carrying out daily laboratory functions and maintaining good laboratory practices.
The position is aligned to packing product quality.
Minimum of a BTech / Diploma / BSc Degree in Micro/Biotechnology, or a related field.
At least 3-4 years’ experience within a production environment.
Intermediate Excel level.
Running of laboratory test methods to ensure continuous packed product QC.
Preparation and processing of routine and ad hoc plant process samples.
Communication and distribution of test results between plant sections.
Adherence to the sampling plan.
Running, maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of laboratory analysis equipment.
Laboratory consumable stock control.
Assisting with troubleshooting and production and plant investigations.
Recording results accurately, timeously and distributing this effectively.
Working according to good laboratory practices.
Maintenance of good laboratory practices.
Organization and recording of retention samples.
