Land Acquisition Manager – Renewable Energy

We are seeking a dynamic Land Acquisition Manager to lead and coordinate the securing of land for renewable energy projects across South Africa and international markets. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of clean energy on the continent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess new land opportunities for solar, wind, and hydro projects.
• Negotiate, review, and finalize lease agreements with property owners.
• Manage land purchases, servitude, and wayleave negotiations.
• Oversee mapping and layout overlays of project designs.
• Secure and maintain all land-related permits and approvals.
• Maintain strong communication with new and existing landlords.
• Manage consultants and land acquisition specialists.
• Engage with all relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Address landlord and permitting issues promptly and effectively.
• Support bid compilation processes with accurate land-related inputs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Spatial Planning (Honours) or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years in site acquisition or land development.
• Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong GIS capabilities
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and consultants
  • Familiarity with permitting and regulatory processes
