Legal Officer

SUMMARY:
Regulatory Compliance & Governance Support. A professional opportunity exists for a Legal Officer to join a regulated, fast-paced corporate environment in the manufacturing sector.

POSITION INFO:

This role provides the Corporate Affairs Officer with essential legal, governance, and compliance support. It is ideally suited to a highly organised professional with 5+ years of legal and administrative experience and a strong understanding of corporate governance, legal terminology, and compliance obligations. You will manage legal documentation, perform research, coordinate governance meetings, assist with license and permit compliance, and maintain strong stakeholder communication across internal and external parties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma with legal, governance, or compliance subjects (Degree in Law preferred)
• Minimum 5 years’ legal, compliance, and administrative experience
• Strong knowledge of legal frameworks, contracts, and regulatory compliance
• Advanced MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Nationality Requirement: South African citizen only

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to highly regulated sectors
• Knowledge of NERSA, DMRE, TNPA, ITAC licence compliance and BBBEE reporting
• No direct reports. Strong company secretarial and policy drafting experience is advantageous.
