Maintenance Electrician

SUMMARY:
The successful candidate must be a qualified red seal Electrician, at least 5 years post trade test

POSITION INFO:

The company employs a diverse workforce with a strong skill set in engineering. We are currently seeking an Electrician to join our team and help maintain the high standards our clients expect. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of [specify equipment or systems].
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safely.
• Liaise with customers to ensure clear communication regarding service issues and resolutions.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment.
• Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times.
• Qualified/Trade tested Electrician (Red Seal)
• N4 Certificate in Engineering Heavy current or similar
• At least 5 years post trade test working experience in the electrical engineering field
• Experience to install and program VSD's
• Experience to fault find to at least PLC input/output card level
• Ability to draw, read and understand electrical schematics
• Experience of leading a team of semi-skilled, apprentices or other staff
• Experience in HVAC field

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Qualified fitter or Millwright
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role
• Welding experience advantageous
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
• Experience in engineering field either HVAC / ventilation / fans or applications is advantageous
• Drivers license essential
