Are you a proactive and skilled professional with a passion for mining operations? We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance/Junior Engineer or Mechanical Foreman to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of mining equipment at one or more of our sites.
POSITION INFO:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric certificate.
- National Diploma/BSc/B.Eng/B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering and/or Red Seal (Trade Tested: Millwright, Fitter, Electrician), with preference for expertise in at least two trades.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar maintenance role within a mining environment.
- Proven experience in managing maintenance teams.
- Experience in training and managing mining crews.
- Prior asset management experience.
- Strong understanding of site compliance regarding health, safety, equipment, and personnel.
- Demonstrated success in project management, particularly in engineering and maintenance projects on mines.
- Expertise in optimizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Competency in risk management, including preventive maintenance (PPM).
- Technical knowledge of maintenance methodologies and mining standards.
- Experience in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and reporting structures.
- Valid Medical Certificate or fitness to work underground.
- Clear criminal record.
