Market Intelligence Analyst

We are recruiting a Market Intelligence Analyst to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg .

Job Objective:

Perform primary research - including conceptualize, design and implement methods for collecting data (Surveys, Questionnaires, Opinion Polls)                          

Work with the strategy team to understand strategic choices and market focuses - collaborate on some of the macro; industry; competitive and business research 

 

 

Qualification Required:

• Matric
• University-level degree in data; research; math-oriented fields

Preferred Qualifications:                                       

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics                             

Experience Required:

• 2 - 5 years - Role Specific
• Experience working with vast data sets
• Experienced with conducting external market research 
• Experienced in analyzing data
• Experience in knowledge management and information sharing
• 2 - 5 years - Project / Other    
• Project management 
• Reporting and analysis    
• 2 yrs - Leadership    
• Comfortable interacting and interviewing clients    
      

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed, and innovative research to build key data sets on client and market trends (using modern and traditional methods)                            
• Perform primary research - including conceptualize, design and implement methods for collecting data (Surveys, Questionnaires, Opinion Polls)                          
• Work with the strategy team to understand strategic choices and market focuses - collaborate on some of the macro; industry; competitive and business research      
• Work closely with the Marketing and Value proposition to turn the broad strategic and business strategies into useful and actionable insights to drive marketing campaigns                            
• Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations                            
• Develop a schedule for regular updating and release of key client insights           
• Advise and evaluate research methodology, platforms and outcomes of research conducted by client (MAC)                 
• Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties researches and implement best practices
