Marketing Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in developing and implementing short- and long-term marketing strategies and campaigns to create and increase brand awareness:
  • supporting marketing development under the direction of the Marketing Manager.
  • determining the feasibility and profitability of new or existing campaigns.
  • assisting in the development and implementation of the company’s brand strategy.
• Planning according to allocated annual budget.
• Overseeing marketing material:
  • coordinate, edit, and optimise any material concerning advertising, branding, and marketing;
  • maintain good working relationship with design and print suppliers.
• Providing marketing assistance to other departments to achieve the company’s goals.
• Preparing marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success to present current and forecasted data:
  • analysing the feedback of previous or current marketing campaigns.
  • analysing website traffic and statistics and/or campaign statistics.
  • measuring the impact and outcomes of marketing activities; and
  • managing and maintaining the company website with latest updates and information.
• Planning and execution of meetings, events, and conferences by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists.
• Managing the maintenance and development of internal marketing tools and databases.

Additional requirements:

• Ability to work independently, take initiative and run campaigns and events, under the guidance of the Marketing Manager.
• Energetic, dynamic, forward-thinking and team player.
• Must be an organized, structured, and deadline-driven individual.
• Occasional travel – the position can entail travelling throughout SA; willingness to work away from home if needed.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Tertiary Qualification – Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations Management, or Communications.
• 3 – 5 years’ experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role.
• Knowledge of traditional marketing (events, campaigns) and digital marketing (website, social media, digital platforms, analytics).
• Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
• Working knowledge of HTML and design and email software.
• Experience in working with marketing budgets and forecasting.
• Language: English and Afrikaans.
• Excellent skills in marketing, communication, and people.
• Must understand the process and pace of marketing deadlines and timelines.

Advantageous skills:

• Experience with research using data analytics software.
• Experience, background, or knowledge in Irrigation/Agricultural environment.
• Working knowledge and experience in Adobe suite/InDesign/Photoshop.
