SUMMARY:
A leading international engineering group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Durban. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex mechanical systems and industrial-scale projects, both locally and globally.

POSITION INFO:
ð§ Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for industrial applications
Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical drawings, and specifications
Oversee project execution from concept to commissioning, ensuring alignment with quality, safety, and performance standards
Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including Electrical and Process Engineers, Project Managers, and external vendors
Perform site inspections, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and provide technical guidance during installation and testing phases
Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and standards throughout all phases of the project

â Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
At least 5 years proven experience in mechanical engineering within heavy industry, manufacturing, or large-scale plant environments
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, piping, materials, and industrial components
Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
Familiar with relevant engineering standards (e.g., ASME and ISO)
Excellent communication and technical reporting skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

ð Advantageous:

Project management experience
ECSA registration or in progress
Exposure to international engineering projects or clients
