Mechanical Project Engineer

Are you a young Mechanical Engineer with a passion for driving engineering projects in the mining and mineral processing sector? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the mineral processing industry who is looking for a dynamic Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, specification, and selection of mechanical equipment for mineral processing plants.
• Prepare and manage technical documentation, including data sheets, reports, and drawings.
• Support the planning, budgeting, and scheduling of engineering activities.
• Conduct site visits for inspections, installations, and commissioning support.
• Liaise with suppliers, fabricators, and contractors to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Minimum Requirements:

• BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in mineral processing equipment.
• Solid understanding of project engineering processes.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient in CAD and engineering design software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Willingness to travel to site when required.

Advantageous:

• Exposure to thickeners, cyclones, vibrating screens, or related mineral processing equipment.
• Experience working in an EPCM or OEM environment.
