There is a brilliant opportunity available for a Senior Lead : Network and Infrastructure Security at a well-established financial services institution.

Position Overview:

The main purpose of this position is to plan, direct and manage the design, installation, and connectivity of complex network systems to ensure stable operations of the firm’s networks – this includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimising all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links.

Key Performance Areas:

• Develop and manage the implementation of best practices, network standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Design, manage and implement short- and long-term strategic plans.
• Develop and deploy methodologies for measuring network performance.
• Analyse, consolidate, report, and make recommendations on the performance of the network landscape.
• Investigate, plan, test and implement networks according to industry standards.
• Ensure the provision of network solutions in accordance with agreed upon business requirements.
• Coaching, mentoring, development, and performance management.
• Manage the network services and security solutions, including firewalls, denial of service solutions and intrusion detection systems.
• Provide input into the development of policies, standards, and processes.
• Build and manage key Stakeholder Relationships and participate in other departmental/divisional projects.
• Manage the performance of third-party network service providers.
• Provide input to resource planning, cost estimation, budget development and cost control.

Essential Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required:

• A completed Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent qualification.
• Certification in Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Library and Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies.
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in an IT environment.
• Knowledge and skill in: IT governance, Infrastructure support, Networking infrastructure, and IT enablement planning and reporting.
