JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a rapidly growing Telecommunications company with a national footprint is urgently on the market for an highly experienced and well rounded Operations Manager to join their growing team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of the Role:

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing and evaluating the regions performance according to predetermined targets, key performance indicators (KPIs) and project timelines.
He/she will provide execution support to each region assigned across a broad range of functions, departments and structures providing seamless engagement between them and effectively communicate functional department targets to the Central Operations Manager in a timely and clear fashion.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Report back on progress towards targets throughout the month
  • Provide support to the Regional Manager at head office across all departments and functions to enable better and improved execution in the region

    • Proactively manage changes in the regional scope, ensure that any change to the scope is documented and approved
    • Identify potential crises, devise contingency plans
    • Plan and facilitate effective regional updates and meetings
    • Liaise with business partners
  • Keep a record of past reports and monthly performance metrics
  • Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time-to-time by management

  • Decisive: must be able to use initiative to make quick decisions to resolve problems and overcome obstacles delaying delivery
  • Must be able to partner with other departments and contractors to achieve targets
  • Customer management: tactful, resolute and committed to providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to deliver technical presentations competently
  • Must be able to interfaces with customer “executive” level management on a regular basis

Qualifications:
  • Minimum Undergraduate Degree in Business Management or Finance

Experience:

  • At least 15 years, 10 of which must be in telecommunications, customer service or project management
  • Account management experience advantageous
  • Proven track record of delivering projects within defined timelines under high pressure
  • Delivering results: ability to plan and organise self and work in order to achieve objectives and targets
