JOB SUMMARY:
Well known Fruit Grower in Tzaneen has a vacancy for a Nursery Operations manager who will combine business management skills with the sciences (horticulture) in order to lead a nursery team who will produce superior plant material for the expanding operation at various nurseries. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:
Managing agricultural operations:
People – set goal, manage performance
Budget/ profit & loss
Customers – manage the order book, manage relationships
Technical specification – managing processes and procedure, and mastery of technical details
Reporting – business report
Quality – protocols
Implement systems – ERP, protocols, stock/inventory

Requirements:
BSc (Agric) Horticulture or similar5 Yrs Management experience
Min 3 yrs exp in Business Management
Thorough knowledge of Fruit Tree cultivation
Proficient in Word and Excel as well as Microsoft D365
Implement continuous improvement strategies
Ensure that superior propagation techniques are established in order to supply quality plant material.
Thorough knowledge of plant pathology.
Valid drivers license and own transport.
