Outbound Logistics/Inventory Controller - Automotive

SUMMARY:
Our Automotive OEM Client seeks an Outbound Logistics Controller to be responsible for managing the process of moving finished goods from the business to its customers.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Matric and a Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain or related
• Experience within an Automotive OEM Company
• 5 years+ in:
  • Order Processing and Fulfillment:
  • Shipping and Delivery:
  • Inventory Management:
  • Returns Management:
  • Communication and Coordination: Collaborating with various departments, including sales, customer service, and warehouse operations, to ensure smooth outbound logistics.
  • Cost Optimization: Identifying opportunities to reduce shipping costs and improve overall logistics efficiency.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to outbound logistics, such as delivery times, accuracy, and cost.

• Verifying order details against customer purchase orders.
• Assigning orders to the appropriate warehouse and shipping method.
• Packing goods for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
• Tracking shipments and providing updates to customers.
• Resolving any issues or discrepancies related to shipments.
• Analyzing shipping costs and identifying potential cost-saving measures.
• Developing and implementing new logistics processes to improve efficiency.
