SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable PABX Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of a wide range of telephony systems, including VoIP, digital, and analogue platforms. Location: On-site at client locations
Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:

Install and configure PABX systems, VoIP handsets, IVRs, call forwarding, and automated attendants
Program and support systems including Panasonic, NEC, Avaya, Siemens, and Alcatel-Lucent
Conduct system upgrades, firmware updates, and regular maintenance
Diagnose and resolve hardware/software faults and connectivity issues
Integrate systems with LAN/WAN networks, SIP trunks, and ensure VoIP quality of service
Maintain documentation of configurations, service logs, and technical reports
Train end-users on system features and provide after-sales support
Ensure installations comply with health, safety, and quality standards

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

National Senior Certificate (Matric)
Technical diploma or certificate in Telecommunications, Electronics, or IT
2–5 years of hands-on experience in PABX installation and support
Strong knowledge of VoIP, SIP, TCP/IP networking, and structured cabling
Ability to read technical diagrams and interpret manuals
Clear communication and time management skills
Valid driver’s license (required for site visits)

Added Advantage:

Certifications from vendors such as Panasonic, Siemens, Alcatel-Lucent, NEC, Avaya, or Mitel
