The individual must have a very good understanding of IMPORTS / EXPORTS AFRICA. Must have extensive managerial experience in the freight and forwarding industry. Planning is essential with Exports / Imports for this particular role. (AFRICA) ESSENTIAL

Requirements; Minimum 3 years procurement experience in a relevant retail environment. Diploma in Procurement/Logistics.Staff management Experience with imports and exports Applying INCOTERMS® Good knowledge of all company processes and the impact thereof between departments Experience in reporting to management. Diploma in Procurement/Logistics Sound knowledge of S.A. Customs processes and the influence thereof on our environment. Sound knowledge of INCOTERMS® and implications thereof. Sound knowledge of logistics and the influences of lead times. Basic knowledge of the S.A. Labour Act. Excellent Computer skills – Excel (advanced), Word, PowerPoint. Aptitude to learn new systems (Accpac and inhouse program). Strong leadership skills Ability to assimilate new information quickly and understand business issues. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Ability to work internationally, respectful and confident with cultural nuances. Strong negotiator, ability to deliver against stretching commercial targets. Ability to engender trust with suppliers. Ability to work without close supervision. The post holder will be required to travel: 1. Locally (need a car and valid driver’s license) 2. Internationally and will need a valid passport.
