Job Description

Reporting to the Director, you will be required to:

• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
• Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities
• Supervise and train workers and tradespeople
• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
• Resolve problems when they arise
• Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.
• Help with workshop work and display set-up & maintenance
• Review upcoming jobs with Lead Installers & Project Manager
• Responsible for working with wood to build and repair high end cabinetry structures and other items
• Select and source appropriate materials depending on project needs.
• Calculating quotes, meeting with clients and creating design plans for re-modelling projects.
• Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation
• Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures
• Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style
• Calculating the number of fasteners required for each job
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, and other construction professionals
• Reading CAD plans and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations
• Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction
• Participate in periodic training events
• Solid experience delivering customer service
• Moderate computer knowledge and typing ability
• Ability to read drawings, plans, blueprints
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate and report effectively
• Motivated and self-disciplined
• Reliable and punctual
• Previous experience in the commercial construction industry preferred

• Excellent problem-solving skills, and leadership qualities.
• Great communication skills, ability to work with all level of staff.
• Comfortable with delivering written and oral feedback to Executives.
• 3-5 years’ experience in warehouse/distribution management.
• Shop fitting and/or Construction experience.
• Diploma or degree in warehousing or supply chain management.
