Payroll Administrator

SUMMARY:
Our client, within the manufacturing and FMCG sectors, is looking for a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join their vibrant and fast-paced team. This role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in ensuring everyone gets paid accurately and on time. POSITION INFO:

Process and manage the full monthly payroll using Pastel Payroll and Eco Time systems
Ensure accurate capturing of timesheets, employee records, and payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, banking details)
Prepare and reconcile payroll reports for approval and distribution of payslips
Submit statutory returns and documentation (PAYE, UIF, SDL, IRP5s) and ensure compliance with all SARS deadlines
Maintain and update employee personnel files and HR documentation, including contracts and appointment letters
Administer and track employee leave, address queries, and alert managers of excessive leave balances
Assist with HR functions such as annual increases, training data, and Workplace Skills Plan submissions
Provide payroll-related data and reports for audits, budgeting, BEE, Employment Equity, and year-end processes

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in payroll administration
Proficient in Pastel Payroll, Eco Time, SAGE, and ESS
Solid knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL, and IRP5 submissions
Strong administrative skills with experience in HR support and employee records
Familiar with BEE, EE, and Skills Development reporting
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Approachable, professional, and able to engage across all levels of the business

Qualification:
National Diploma in Payroll, HR, Finance, or related field
Matric (5 years + experience)
