Summary: Our client in the Pinetown are is recruiting for a People Business Partner, to create an enabling environment to drive performance and employee engagement with the company.

 

 

Job Description

To define and implement relevant and appropriate human resource plans/initiatives/projects.

To facilitate the delivery of company’s strategic human resource priorities.

  • Promotion of sound labour/employee relations practices
    • Provide strategic support to managers on the handling of grievance procedures
  • Facilitate the sound employer-employee relations through managing and overseeing effective and efficient implementation and compliance with labour laws
  • Manage conflict/disputes
  • Implement and communicate the employee relations strategy and ensure that employee relations are achieved
  • To assist with employee related negotiations/consultations
  • Oversee the implementation of the wellness programme
  • Plan and be responsible for staff engagement activities and events
  • Ensure compliance with OHS legislation, policies, standards and procedures
  • Ensure that the staff handbook is relevant, comprehensive and up to date
  • HR Consultation
    • Consult with managers and provide HR guidance
  • Provide HR policy guidance
  • Act as a single point of contact for company staff and managers on people related matters

  • HR strategy development and implementation
    • Assist in applying sound recruitment and selection practices, and appropriate induction, training and development programmes
    • Develop employee relationships and promote diversity to build and maximise human capacity
    • Monitor HR policy implementation, compliance and effectiveness
    • Consult with managers to assess benefits, compensation and compliance needs
    • Provide training and development on Human Resources policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with HR policies and procedures
    • Provide input into workforce and succession planning
    • Analyse data trends and metrics to inform business decisions
    • Find ways to build morale, improve workplace relationships, and boost productivity

 

  • Performance Management
  • Ensure the active management of performance and poor performers
  • Ensure the implementation of company’s performance management systems in collaboration with the relevant Centre of Excellence
  • Collaborate with managers and ensure the link between performance and remunerations is communicated and understood

  • Implementation of Talent Management Systems
  • Assist in identifying critical and core operational roles
  • Facilitate talent reviews and forums and monitor the implementation of talent development actions with the People Practitioners
  • Promoting high levels of insightful career conversations, coaching and mentoring opportunities
  • Assist in identifying solutions on building initiatives to improve readiness of talent
  • Participate in HR related projects and provide advice on talent management

  • Coaching and mentoring
    • Implementation of an effective coaching and mentoring programme

  • Facilitate change management and organisational effectiveness programmes
    • Ensure that OD and change management strategies are implemented and monitored
    •  
    • Post graduate degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organisational Psychology or another closely related field.

At least 5- 8 years’ experience as a HR Business Partner/HR Manager.
