JOB SUMMARY:
NOW HIRING - Planner on a contract basis (12 months) with extensive experience in the mining and minerals industry on large capital projects, including projects in remote locations and other countries, third world countries.

Location - Randburg

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for:

Provide support and inform the PM and construction manager (CM) in respect of progress measurement on the project.
In collaboration with the project team and all other participants, develop the work breakdown structure (WBS) and integrate the code of accounts with the WBS.
Develop the basis of schedule (BoS) and / or schedule management plan for approval by the PM and implement the same.
Evaluate and integrate contractor’s and supplier’s schedules and report findings to the PM, CM, and project engineer.

Qualifications:

PMI SP (Scheduling Professional)
AACE PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional)

Desirable:

PMI PMP (Project Management Professional)
CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)

Knowledge, skills and experience:

Expert knowledge of and competence in the use of Primavera P6 and MS Project
Expert knowledge of MS Office
Project planning experience in multi-discipline mining and minerals processing projects and studies
2-5 years’ relevant experience considered essential to meet the demands of this position.

Desirable:

Site planning experience in multi-discipline mining and minerals processing projects and studies
EPC / EPCM experience in either a consulting or construction contractor environment
