JOB DESCRIPTION:

Planner / Retail Merchandiser
Do you have Merchandising and Planning experience with excellent Brand knowledge?

REQUIREMENTS

Matric, Degree in business management, ideally with planning or Buying/Purchasing professional experience
Merchandising Experience: 5-10 years
Management Experience: 2-5 years
Excellent Planning experience
Efficient and experienced in SAP
Advanced Excel skills, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Communication in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to exercise good judgment and decision making skills
Ability to work under pressure & attend work in a regular and predictable manner
Effective presentation skills to moderate size groups.

DUTIES

Responsible for controlling the capturing and uploading of all product orders at Head Office.
Determine and manage seasonal OTB using bottom-up store sales plan
Analyse business down to the class/SKU level and make future purchases based on sales trends, floor content, site content, customer needs and current orders
Oversee the range planning process and schedule and confirm seasonal buy plans according to specific store capacities and sales trends
Ensure that all products are available to be shipped in compliance with product launch dates and new store opening dates.
Monitoring and communication of price changes
Ensure that all retail price changes are accurately communicated to and applied by all franchise and concept stores
Plan promotional activity for key commercial moments.
Communicate progress reports weekly/monthly with senior management.
Recommend and participate in all decisions that may impact on the merchandising functions regarding stores daily processes and support the Operations team on inventory requirements.
Evaluate adjustments to plans and allocations for performance trends and inventory levels and ensure corrective action is taken on slow sellers and opportunities seized with top sellers and replenishment.
Order book alignment and working alongside supply chain and warehouse to ensure product flow is as business requirements.
