We are recruiting for an experienced Pre-Sales HCI and Virtualisation Engineer to join our clients growing team.
About the Role
The Pre-Sales HCI & Virtualisation Engineer will work closely with the sales and technical teams to design and present hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) and virtualisation solutions tailored to client requirements. This role combines deep technical knowledge with strong communication skills to deliver winning proposals and support strategic sales engagements.
You will engage with technologies from leading vendors such as Dell VxRail, Huawei HCI, HPE SimpliVity, Nutanix, and VMware — and play a key role in translating complex technical solutions into tangible business value for clients.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Engagement:
* Understand client requirements and conduct discovery sessions
* Design and propose custom HCI and virtualisation solutions
* Deliver high-quality technical presentations and demos
Solution & Proposal Design:
* Develop detailed architectures and technical proposals
* Ensure solutions are scalable, compliant, and cost-effective
Client and Vendor Engagement:
* Act as a trusted advisor to clients
* Leverage vendor resources and programs
* Maintain up-to-date certifications and product knowledge
Internal Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing:
* Support sales strategies to close deals
* Collaborate with post-sales teams on solution deployment
* Deliver internal training sessions and market updates
Reporting:
* Track pre-sales engagements and client feedback
* Provide input on market trends and competitive analysis

Requirements
🎓 Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
* Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware VCP, Dell VxRail, Nutanix NCP, HPE ASE, Huawei HCIA)
💼 Experience
* 5+ years in a pre-sales or technical consulting role within HCI and virtualisation
* Proven experience designing and implementing HCI solutions
* Strong background in collaborating with sales teams and presenting technical solutions to clients
🛠Key Competencies
* In-depth knowledge of HCI platforms (e.g., Dell VxRail, HPE SimpliVity, Nutanix, Huawei)
* Virtualisation expertise in VMware (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN)
* Excellent presentation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to translate technical features into client-focused business value
