Production Foreman

SUMMARY:
Wadeville based client is seeking a Production Foreman/Chargehand with at least 5 years exp working as a Foreman. Ideally have a Boilermaker or Spraypainting qualification with a strong personality to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS:

• Trade Tested.
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in maintenance, technical, production, boiler making, mechanical or manufacturing
• 5 years’ experience managing and supervising ± 15 people
• Experience in Spraypainting, welding and general metal processing / manufacturing
• Good working knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO), OSH Act, BCE Act and plant maintenance (non-negotiable)
• MS Office (non-negotiable)
• Bi-lingual (Eng / Afr)
• Valid driver’s license

• Manage and control production processes and output
• Ensure production volumes, quality standards and cost targets are achieved
• Implement initiatives to achieve and maintain world-class standards for production, quality and SHE management
• Drive the implementation of processes for new products
• Oversee the management and control of the production store function
• Take ownership of planning, budgeting, costing and capex responsibilities
• Manage, direct and monitor the performance of subordinates to ensure that critical performance areas and targets are achieved
