JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Production Manager to join their establishment

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements

Matric is essential
A tertiary qualification in Production Management or equivalent is essential
3-5 years’ experience in a similar industry is essential
3-5 years’ experience as a leader in a similar industry
Technical background and/or Qualification as a Millwright will be advantageous
Very strong Leadership skills
Ability to solve problems efficiently and quickly
Good command of English language and other ethnic languages
Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure
Ability to work in organized and efficient manner
Must be physically fit and able to carry out a range of general duties

Responsibilities

Adhere to production timelines
Plan, implement, review, adjust and control the production schedule
Set production budgets
Manage production budget
Implement cost control programs
Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, warehousing & distribution, and management
Manage production team
Evaluate machinery performance and constantly improvise practices
Uphold the polices and standards of the company
Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times
Conduct regular inspections of machinery, workers, and the units
Plan and manage preventative maintenance programs for machinery
Analyse production and quality control to detect and correct problems
Oversee production processes
Ensuring company procedures are being followed by employees
Providing monthly reports of quality control, production numbers, safety, and other reports as needed
Focus on growing business by implementing necessary changes to the production line
Ensure output meets quality standards and necessary volumes as per Procurement forecasting.
Review worker performance and identify training needs
Lead and coach production team
Ensure orders are completed on time and that quality standards and targets are met
Work with other managers to implement the company's policies and goals
Oversee the transfer of products to Warehousing and Distribution Depot
Perform any other adhoc duties as and when required
