Our client is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm.

Job Description

Broad understanding of mining infrastructure requirements, commercial construction industry practices, construction contracts, and budget/schedule management. etc.
Assessing client/ project engineering requirements.
Construction QC/QA activities
Factory and site acceptance tests
Prepare concept design and the ability to objectively evaluate both technically and commercially, different options based upon project objectives/requirements.
Oversee testing and commissioning processes to verify the functionality and performance of EC&I systems.
Cost estimation of EC&I engineering scope of work, including equipment and construction costs.
Design work, specifications, engineering and project inputs:
LV Single Line Diagrams, Circuit Schematics, Control systems and network architecture, Equipment Location Drawings, Substation Equipment Layouts, Motor List, Cable Schedules, MCC Specifications, Substation Lighting & Small Power Layouts, Lighting & Small Power Single Line Diagrams, Plant Cable Racking & Routing Layouts, Cable Block Diagrams, Plant Earthing Layouts, Field installation & SAT co-ordinations, Instrument Lists and specifications, I/O Schedule, Instrumentation Data Sheets

Qualifications

BSc / BEng / BTech Electrical Engineering
ECSA registration is preferred

Skills

8+ years’ experience
Proven working experience in the EC and I consulting industry with project experience in mining projects (Mineral Processing, Material Handling and Petrochem would be added advantage)
Strong knowledge of Electrical, control and instrumentation design principles, codes, and standards (Mining, Petrochem advantageous)
AutoCAD and Revit
Various Study Phases of Project Development (Pre-feasibility, Feasibility, Detail design, Execution)
