Job highlights include developing and test customer products at a state-of-the-art R&D facility, utilising your technical expertise to analyse and model machine recommendations, showcasing your creative side by recommending conceptual product designs, conducting thorough research and producing comprehensive reports on new and existing products, diving into data analysis and handling general admin tasks related to research and test data, collaborating with sub-contractors to ensure smooth project execution, and applying cost control measures to effectively manage product and component costing!

Here’s what you’ll need: a BEng Mechanical Engineering degree (to demonstrate your strong technical foundation), 5+ years of senior experience in a similar role (preferably in a FMCG and agri-production machine/equipment manufacturing environment), a passion for innovation and staying up-to-date with industry trends, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively, strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams (fluency in both Afrikaans and English), and a detail-oriented mind-set with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
