JOB DESCRIPTION:

What the role is accountable for:

  • Supporting the Head of Professional Services, the Recruitment Team Lead is responsible for assigning and directing work required of the business unit, supervising all areas of operations;
  • The role takes full accountability to manage staff, foster a positive productive working environment and ensure client and candidate satisfaction;
  • This function in addition, is required to formulate policy, give executive oversight of recruitment / search processes, and monitor process compliance;
  • Key to success is a hands-on approach to business operations and an ability to implement strategies that increase productivity and achieve measurable results;

Role Reporting:

  • Head of Professional Services (Talent Solutions);

A typical day may include:

BU, Client Relationship Management and Sales:

  • Develop the commercial strategy and implement it, ensuring that it includes KPIs and milestones with appropriate tracking tools;
  • Creative initiatives and solutions to grow sales in Professional Services, increase key accounts and market share;
  • Manage, lead, and coach the team to ensure that they develop a sustainable performance culture;
  • Through meeting sales and business targets, living the principles of leadership, accountability, commitment, and execution;
  • Completing tactical activities to the best of their abilities and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Support the leadership in developing the company strategy and financial plans, by providing monthly / quarterly forecasts for the business unit, monitoring expenditure, and instituting corrective action where needed;
  • Develop relationships to further establish Professional Services as a best-in-class supplier;
  • Continuously seek opportunities to grow the market through new clients and sectors, and evaluating portfolio extension opportunities, launch new products and ideas to market;
  • Upholding the high ethical and compliance standards that are integral, whilst driving performance and continuous improvement best practice culture;
  • Daily operational management and progress tracking of placement opportunities;
  • Status tracking and reporting;

Operations:

  • Alongside the Senior Recruiter, determine applicant requirements by understanding the job requirements and qualifications;
  • Set targets to identify suitable skill and talent, working within a 3 – 5-day turnaround for recruitment;
  • Undertake search and talent mapping for executive search and conduct own resourcing;
  • Proactively identify and track organisation, industry, functional trends, and report findings to share with the client;
  • Identify new research techniques to source candidates;
  • Achieving of bi-weekly research, monthly and annual targets;
  • Networking capability supported by direct dialling, proactive approaching, and sourcing;
  • Master ability to identify relevant candidate profiles utilising a variety of sources:
    • Desktop research;
    • Various career portals (PNET, Career Junction, Executive Placements) and LinkedIn;
    • Talent Mapping;
    • Networking capability supported by direct dialling, proactive approaching, and sourcing;
    • Ability to build and network with relevant industry associations and trade publications;
  • Screening CVs for suitability and pre-screening of candidates;
  • Arranging / conducting internal and client / candidate interviews and providing general career advice;
  • Arranging assessments, regretting candidates, debriefing sessions, etc;
  • In consultation with the Head of Professional Services;
  • Manage time effectively to balance research requests from clients;
  • Negotiate pay and salary rates;

Qualifications we look for:

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

  • Matric;
  • Above average MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Skills;

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant Diploma / Certification in HR / General Project Management;
  • Undergraduate Degree (HR qualification advantageous);

  • Sets Vision and Strategy – Creating a vision for the future of the Business Unit and their area of specialisation. Establish and omit to strategies and accomplish agreed short and long-term goals;
  • Planning, Organising and Prioritising – Plan work activities, review and prioritise as necessary to achieve high standards and meet deadlines;
  • Team Working – Works with others across the organisation to accomplish goals and identify and resolve problems;
  • Function related experience: 10 – 12 years;
  • Leading teams: 4 -6 years;
  • Project experience: 10 – 12 years.
